CTP (Chandigarh Technology Park)

Chandigarh is being promoted as new destination for the IT industry. An IT sub-city (called the "Chandigarh Technology Park" is under construction in the north east of the city. Though already inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, in 2005, it still has a few weeks before any companies etc can actually start functioning. The rose garden in bloom, but the flower laden amaltas dominates the scene! March also saw a fair amount of rainfall in Chandigarh.

The Amaltas can be found lining many streets in Chandigarh. It blooms profusely in spring.
